CONCEPT

Melasti Villa complex, named after the beach of the same name on Bali island, is a strict and modern architecture of premium class, for people accustomed to relax with a high level of comfort.

The complex consists of twenty villas, which have a spacious kitchen-living room with a second light, several bedrooms, comfortable terraces with billiards and a home cinema.

In addition, there is a swimming pool with a Jacuzzi area in the courtyard of each villa. In some villas, outdoor fireplaces are located in the courtyard, which adds comfort and allows you to spend time using different scenarios of life.

When developing the planning solution for the villas of the first stage, an important wish of the customers was to create a large kitchen-living area on the ground floor. At the same time, they did not like the fact that a staircase was supposed to be located in this room.

We suggested fencing off the stairs with a wall and adding a skylight. Thus, we visually moved the staircase outside the kitchen-living room, and added an interesting element from the facades.

The wishes for the layout of the villas of the second stage were to make the villas more compact, with interesting details. So we had solutions in the form of additional light windows, which we used on the second floor in the bedrooms and the corridor area.

Working on this project, it was important for us to combine a rational approach and creative details. This was embodied in ergonomic and thoughtful layouts, modern facades and a creative courtyard. We are sure that it will be comfortable to spend time in these villas, feeling freedom and unity with nature, enjoying holidays with family or friends.

When designing architectural forms for this project, the customers were asked to adhere to minimalistic modern shapes and volumes. But when designing the interior, on the contrary, I wanted to emphasize the status of the complex and add bright elements. In the kitchen-living room area, we used a noble color base in light shades with accent details in the form of an island in the kitchen, glass blocks and huge hanging lamps in the form of fish, which are covered with a variety of LEDs and look amazing in the evening.

On the ground floor of the villas of the first stage, in addition to the kitchen-living room, there is a separate unit with a bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom. The customers’ wish was to highlight this bedroom, and if all the other rooms were supposed to be bright, on the contrary, they wanted to use dark shades here. Thus, an enveloping dark interior appeared, which does not oppress with its darkness, but on the contrary creates a feeling of harmony and complete unity with nature. In the wall decoration, we used panels for painting and porcelain stoneware inserts.

An additional accent was a freestanding bathtub made of colored glass, which is combined with a glass dressing room.

There are two bedrooms on the second floor. The main wish of the customers was to make them bright and convey the atmosphere of luxury real estate on the first line of Bali’s best beach. In order not to overload the interior, we used the same finishing materials as on the ground floor.

These are panels for painting and porcelain stoneware. One of the bedrooms has sliding beds and, if desired, can accommodate both a couple and two people who will sleep on separate beds. Behind the beds, we have placed white frosted glass panels with backlight, which create an unusual visual effect in the evening.

The cabinet with glass facades lightens the interior and adds air to the space. The bathroom area in this bedroom deserves special attention. A huge round mirror, free-standing floor sinks made of colored glass, a light circle on the ceiling, a dark niche with a rain shower – all the elements here want to be considered.

The second bedroom has a circular layout and a separate dressing area. In addition, there is a freestanding bathtub right in front of the ocean-view window, where you can take bright, engaging photos and post them on social media. To create privacy, you can close the bedroom with sliding slatted partitions.

This bedroom is bright, but the interior is built on a contrast of light and dark shades, which adds dynamics to it. In the bathroom area, the technique is repeated with a large round mirror that expands the space. We added suspensions as accents. The dominant feature in this bedroom is the portal that frames the entrance to the bathroom area. This is not just a decorative element, we have hidden the air conditioner in it, so it does not spoil the interior and is hidden from view.
