Lobby

  • The interior of the lobby on the 1st floor is a bright and laconic space, not overloaded with details. The idea of the project is the interconnection between the external and internal—the facades of the building and its internal content.
  • The main accent is large-format metal-look porcelain tiles LAMINAM MORO, Oxide collection, the color of which is present in the decoration of the façade of the house, located directly behind the reception area. This material is also repeated in the decoration of elevator columns, both on the first floor and on subsequent ones.
  • Materials used in wall decoration: large-format porcelain stoneware with natural textures of concrete and stone Laminam, BIANCO Calce collection. Light textures nuance the accent porcelain tiles, creating a soft atmosphere. The material used on the floor is large-format dark chocolate-colored porcelain stoneware with a Laminam marble texture, IN-SIDE PIETRA PIASENTINA GRIGIO. The finishing of the existing columns is made of railed panels with a concrete texture. This can be slabs cast from concrete to the required dimensions, ceramic granite, or decorative relief plaster applied under a comb. The reception desk repeats the main accent materials: metal-look porcelain tiles and railed panels with a concrete texture.
  • The joints between the walls and the floor are solved using a shadow profile (shadow plinth), both with and without lighting, which emphasizes the volume of the walls and makes the interior richer in details. The ceiling in the lobby area is entirely made of gypsum board construction and painted with white paint. If necessary, it can be broken down, and railed ceilings can be partially used for convenient access to the communications of air conditioning and ventilation systems, as well as fire protection systems.
  • Furniture: materials such as leather, eco-leather, and microfiber are used in furniture decoration. The Oscar Niemeyer Alta armchair and the Roche Bobois FEATURING FLOOR LAMP floor lamp are vintage, which emphasizes the relevance of quality design after many years. The sofa for this concept was chosen to be soft, comfortable, and with smooth shapes, which ideally combine with natural, calm textures in the decoration (Eichholtz, Amore Lyssa Off-White 115777). Plants of different shapes decorate and complement the interior.
  • Custom-made products—a bookcase in the reception area, lockers for couriers with a magnetic lock—are made to order in the carpentry workshop. The finishing of these products also includes accent colors for wall decoration.
  • Pendant lamps: Vibia Algorithm.

Option 1: design of the waiting area is symmetrical to the waiting area on the opposite side of the reception desk. The columns at the reception area are made with an extension towards the ceiling.

Option 2: design a coworking area and cells for couriers on the opposite side of the reception desk. The columns at the reception area were left unchanged — rectangular.

Elevator area

Several types of lighting are provided in the elevator area: LED ceiling lighting along the contour, recessed LED lamps, and wall-mounted lamps for illuminating the “steps.” The last one directs us to the auxiliary premises (the paw wash). The elevator trim features railed panels or concrete-look porcelain tiles, which are present in the finishing of the columns at the entrance to the lobby, wood-effect porcelain tiles, large-format porcelain tiles, and a shelf above the elevator with lighting directed upward to illuminate the railed panels.

Standard floor

  • The concept of a standard floor is aligned with the lobby area. Decorative plaster of the same color as the porcelain stoneware on the lobby walls was used as a wall finishing material. In addition to the decorative plaster, there is a second material that frames the doors: LAMINAM wood-look porcelain stoneware. Metal-look porcelain tiles in the elevator area and the shelf above it repeat the decoration of the lobby elevator area, conceptually uniting these spaces. Material on the floor: the floor uses smaller porcelain tiles with a terrazzo pattern in gray CR.CEPPO BLANCO (LEVIGLASS) RECT FROM PAMESA (SPAIN). Ceilings: it is proposed to leave open communications on the ceiling, painting them black. For convenient use of communications, we suggest using square-shaped pendant lamps or a group of profile lamps (we offer two design options in the visualizations).
  • Navigation elements: each apartment has apartment numbers made of a metal plate with a cut-out number with LED backlighting. Also, for navigation, LED lights built into the wall near the floor were used (CENTERLIGHT, STEP LIGHT SV2 MINI 0227 BD).

Project difficulties

The main requirement of the customer was to fit into the given budget as well as to connect the visual component of the façade of a residential building with the interior of common areas. The interior development was carried out considering the requirements of the MOP level standard.

What know-how was applied to the project?

Using a shadow plinth and shadow seam on a ceiling with LED lighting.
